enLIGHT is determined to create the entrepreneurs of tomorrow by helping students not only realize their potential, but provide them with the resources they need to launch startups. The organization was founded in 2012, when two high school students were bit by the entrepreneurship bug and entered their local DECA competition with the idea of an organization run by student entrepreneurs for student entrepreneurs. Then, in 2014, enLIGHT pivoted from high school students to university campuses, growing out a founding team at Queen's University and incorporating a non-profit organization. In 2016, enLIGHT had a growing presence across all Ontario campuses, hosting out first HACKference featuring speakers such as Kevin O'Leary. A year later, enLIGHT's second HACKference kicked off with Michele Romanow while the winter semester saw the launch of our inaugural DEMOday. Today, enLIGHT has gone from a student-run organization to one with full-time employees, with its incubator and accelerator programs coming soon!
